Irrational Republican Anger

Call me crazy, but given the fact that Republicans have run every branch of government for the six years 2001 to 2007, and 2 out of three for each of the last eight years, its tough for me to muster up much sympathy for republican "anger."

Like the guy (there are more graphic and vulgar words to use which are apt, but I'm working on reeling in those feelings) in Wisconsin who was so steamed that "socialists" were taking over the country. Comments like this make the absurd-o-meter explode and cannot even be responded to.

David Gergen, the center-right former Presidential advisor (Rs and Ds), though, sums the state of the insanity well:

My $0.02? This is VERY thinly veiled racism bubbling to the surface.

John McCain's career and reputation is toast after this defeat. He's going to want to retire after this fiasco.
